About

I’m a twenty-six year old seminarian who is simply trying to live out the life we are called to in the Gospels. I don’t have any easy answers, any quick fixes, or cure-all solutions, but I do know the Truth of the universe was revealed in Jesus Christ, and I want to pursue the knowledge of God with all of my existence - giving him Glory and living a life that points to Him. I’ve done lots of things in my short life, bagged groceries, sold books, made deli sandwiches, sang opera, and was an IT analyst at a Fortune 500 newspaper company, but I have always known, through it all, that I was called to preach and teach the Word. I’ve done so as much as I could, but I feel called seek out an education that will allow me to better understand the Word so that I can help bring it into the hearts of those God brings to me.

Rambling, clippings, and side-notes that are interesting to me.

At that time Jesus declared, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; yes, Father, for such was your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

-Matthew 11:25-30

I think life should be more like tv. I think all of life’s problems ought to be solved in 30 minutes with simple homilies, don’t you? I think weight and oral hygiene ought to be our biggest concerns. I think we should all have powerful, high-paying jobs, and everyone should drive fancy sports cars. All our desires should be instantly gratified. Women should always wear tight clothing, and men should carry powerful handguns. Life overall should be more glamorous, thrill-packed, and filled with applause, don’t you think? Then again, if real life was like that, what would we watch on television?
