Best wishes,

Yours was a very interesting post. You have done some very serious soul searching and I commend you for your honesty in making it a public testimony on the net.

I am a Lutheran pastor's son [pk]. My experience is that every Christian need not become a minister, but every Christian will serve Christ. There is an old saying where I come from that prayer, meditation, and trials make a theologian. All of us are theologians, not all of us are ordained.

Read the Scriptures widely. I also think that the Lutheran Confessions (particularly the Augsburg Confession) are good sources of information. John Wesley read the Bible. Luther read the Bible. Read the Bible and let the Holy Spirit go to work.

If you read Scripture and meditate you will find ways to serve the Lord. The best service is to thank God for his blessings and to serve others. No one has to build a monument or write a book. Help your neighbor and you will serve Christ.
